Bank Draft Billing

Bank Draft Authorization Form

By allowing EMEPA to draft your bank account for your power bill each month, you will save time and money. With a draft account, your power bill is paid on the last due date.

Bank draft is beneficial to you for several reasons:

  1. You’ll continue to get a copy of your bill.
  2. You’ll avoid paying late fees because the amount of your bill is automatically deducted from your checking account.
  3. Bank draft combined with Levelized billing help with your monthly household budget is a convenience for you.

Online Payments

By paying online, members can easily pay using a credit or debit card. This option saves you time and allows you to flexibility to pay your monthly bill 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. EMEPA offers a secure site for online bill pay. EMEPA’s credit card payments are processed through SEDC, so your credit statement will say SEDC instead of EMEPA.

Smart Phone App

EMEPA’s free smart phone app makes it easier than ever to stay in touch with us and conduct normal transactions when on the go. You can access your account, view daily energy use, weather data, receive account notifications, and pay your bill and more all straight from your smart phone. The app is available for both apple and android phones.

EMEPA’s new kiosks allow you to make payments 24 hours a day with payments immediately posted to your account. The kiosks can accept cash or credit card payments, and coming soon will also accept check payments.

EMEPA’s newest payment option is Pre-Pay, which offers pay-as-you-go service. You pay a certain amount upfront, and a text or email alert lets you know when you’re almost “out” of electricity. When enrolled in pre-pay, you will receive daily updates detailing the amount of electricity used and current account balance for that day.

Levelized Billing

Levelized billing is one of the most popular payment options offered by EMEPA. This option was designed to help our members avoid the “ups and downs” of seasonal electricity bills. The amount you pay each month is based on your 12 month average electric usage keeping your monthly payment about the same from month to month.

Any residential member with an account in good standing is eligible for this option. Before you can begin Levelized billing, the account must have a 12-month history without being cutout and have a zero balance. Your bill each month will reflect your actual month’s usage and your total account balance. Your payment amount will be based on the most recent 12 months average usage. Any increase or decrease in the amount of energy used will cause the Levelized billing amount to adjust.
